Corrections, updates and retractions

Material changes create append-only versions, visible correction events and a fresh version-bound confidence assessment.

Corrections, updates and retractions

Material corrections create a new article version, correction record and publication event atomically. The existing public version remains intact until the correction succeeds. Headless corrections retain the highest applicable risk and receive a new evidence-confidence assessment or Not scored label. A source hash change alone does not establish a factual error.

Earlier versions and assessments remain durable audit history. The public timeline records the change and its date. Retractions continue to require the existing high-risk review quorum; confidence scoring does not silently retract or rewrite an article.
